What a wonderful day full of fun and generosity. The individual who won the $25 gift certificate gave the card back to Shawnee Mission Rotary club to give to Shawnee Mission North to use for the One Stop Shop. But wait, it gets better. The grand prize, Grocery Grab winner also donated everything back to the club. They did not want to do the shopping, and so another person volunteered and asked what the One Stop Shop needed most. Wayne London asked her to concentrate on non-perishable items that could be sent home, especially over the summer. Wayne now has over $880 worth of food and laundry detergent in his garage waiting to be delivered to the One Stop Shop! It was a great day to be a Rotarian! |
