Coach Dre will provide an update on his expanded role at Shawnee Mission North and how the One Stop Shop provides support at the school. He will also present data on how his efforts as the Student Success Liason are affecting the lives of students in the Shawnee Mission School District.

 

 

Dave was born and grew up in Normal, Illinois. He has been married to the love of this life, Joyce, for 55 years! Dave and Joyce have always had a fur baby in their lives. Dave worked for Dun & Bradstreet for 35 years before he retired from day-to-day management. After retiring, he continued as a consultant and customer trainer for another 12 years. 

 

Dave enjoys bowling, daily walking, golf, and running. Since receiving a new hip 6 years ago, he is no longer running but is a KC Running Club board member and directs and helps with a number of local running events- from the Westport St Patrick's Day run to the KC Marathon, Brew to Brew, and 4 on the 4th. Dave actually ran in and completed the Boston Marathon 30 years ago! 

 

His favorite place for vacation is Vail in Colorado, and he enjoys watching the news. Dave would refrain from singing at Karaoke Night :) His preferred superpower would be the ability to read minds, and his favorite type of food is Mexican. 

 

Fun fact: Dave was the weekly Rotary bulletin editor in the mid-1980's. At that time, the club had more than 140 members and it was difficult to get to know everyone, so Dave started doing a member spotlight!
