Good morning, All! We will be joined this week by Shawnee Mission School District Superintendent Dr. Mike Fulton, David Smith, Chief Communications Officer and Brent Fulson, Co-Chairman of The Committee for Excellence. The group will speak to the club about the upcoming bond referendum, that will be placed before voters in January 2021. A description of what is proposed in each of the district feeder patterns is listed online. In the Shawnee Mission North Feeder Area, improvements are being proposed to rebuild Rushton Elementary School, as well as significant renovations and upgrades at Hocker Grove Middle School and Horizons High School and the Early Childhood Education Center and at the Career and Technical Campus.

 

I wanted to put in a special plug since we'll have not one speaker but three, and would love to give them a good showing. The committee is trying to share this information with as many people as possible on a very quick timeframe, which is of course, complicated by limitations on in-person meetings.
