In honoring orders to shelter in place, Rotary International, District 5710 and Shawnee Mission Rotary Club have all postponed meetings until orders have lifted.  

 

 

 

Have you caught your breath from the wild ride we've been on since March 11? 

 

Life has certainly changed! What have you been doing instead of March Madness?  Or Spring Training for Major League Baseball? Or attending concerts? Or going out to dinner? Or attending school events with children.  Or their sports events? Amazing the pace we are used to, isn't it?

 

Some of our club members are essential workers, most are working from home, many are home-schooling children, a few are home alone, and all of us need as much encouragement as possible.

 

While we all navigate through the challenges in our respective worlds, find ways to broaden your horizons and enjoy the satisfaction of service above self.  Remember too, that you are surrounded by the family of Rotary.

The most likely scenario is to adapt to the current environment, and the Board will have that plan out as soon as possible.  

 

 

Rotary Club President Wayne London has been working with Shawnee Mission North as plans for and work on the Outdoor Classroom have evolved. Numerous Rotarians have been involved. The details are TBA.

 

The Board held it's usual monthly meeting on March 11.
