We've Been Here Before: The Polio Vaccine
Join the discussion of how Rotary conquered this crippling disease 70 years ago with René F. Najera, PH.D., Editor, History of Vaccines, College of Physicians of Philadelphia; Chris Crenner, M.D., Ph.D., Hudson-Major Professor and Chair at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Carl Chinnery, Past District Governor from Rotary District 6040 and member of Lee’s Summit Rotary Club and Jim Arnett, Rotary District 5710 Polio Chairman and spouse of a polio survivor.

(This program is a partnership with the public libraries in Atchison, Basehor, Bonner Springs, Lansing, Leavenworth, Linwood and Tonganoxie. Rotarians and non-Rotarians are welcome to join in for this virtual conversation. The Zoom link to register for this program is below.)

Finally, if you missed last week's program about #ZeroReasonsWhy, a storytelling and community mobilization campaign to remove the stigma of mental health and prevent teen suicide, here's the recording. This isn't an easy topic by any means, but one that is ultra-important. You can be part of the conversation too. Check out this short clip featuring students who are experiencing struggles themselves. If you or your club would like to learn more or get involved with this initiative, reach out to the Ambassador Club (Jacci Leib).

A new feature is available - ZOOM video recordings.

As of January 20 we are recording our meetings. All of our speakers have been very interesting - we just learned how to record, access, and make the recordings available AR smksrotary.org. The password to each is listed. We don't control it. Copy and paste is the easiest way to enter it!

The link is in the upper left corner of the webpage, just under meeting responsibilities. Have you checked lately?

Enjoy!
