Brian was born in Overland Park, Kansas but grew up in Claremore, Oklahoma and New Port Richey, Florida. He has been married to his wife Hui since 2003 and they have two children: William, aged 14, and Cathy, aged 12. Hui is a professor at UMKC as well as the Kansas City Art Institute. William is a freshman at Shawnee Mission East and Cathy is an 8th grader at Pembroke Hill. 

 

Brian is an attorney, and enjoys fishing, reading, and being a scout leader in his kids' troops. His favorite place for vacation is northern Wales. Brian's favorite book is The Grapes of Wrath, his favorite movie is Patton, and his favorite TV show is Chasing Classic Cars. He would belt out Shake It Off by Taylor Swift at karaoke night and get the whole place dancing. Brian would choose the ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound as his super-power. His favorite meal is a T-bone steak, baked potato, and cherry pie (I'm thinking a steak fundraiser of some kind with all of these steak lovers in our Club!).
