The Shawnee Mission North Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) just qualified for its 13th consecutive appearance in a national competition. The team qualified by winning the Area 9 Regional Championship in Oklahoma City. The SM North Indians finished first in eight of the 11 events and second in three other events. They are now preparing to compete in the national competition which takes place this April in Florida. The Shawnee Mission Rotary Club has a long history of awarding a scholarship to a member of the NJROTC. We'll be cheering them on again this year!
