We had six volunteers on Wednesday over lunch to help with litter pick-up on our adopted street, Lamar Avenue. We were out for about 40 minutes, and even though we had to talk Jeff out of the brush before we lost him to Narnia down the hillside, we think we made a big impact. There's always more trash than you think. Thanks to Jeff, Wayne, Roger, Ellis and Emily and a special thanks to Mission friend Brooke who came to join us. Brooke is a regular volunteer with the City of Mission and came out to help. She admitted that she didn't know much about Rotary International before helping beyond the signs you see out and about, but she does now! The Adopt-a-Street program asks that we do four clean-ups a year. Be on the lookout for pick-ups scheduled in spring and summer of 2022!
