OVERLAND PARK ROTARY FOUNDATION GRANT GUIDELINES 2017
 
In addition to supporting youth with Scholarships to the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA), and also sponsoring the Children’s Book Program, the Foundation will select one or more qualified charitable organizations to be grant recipients. For this, the Foundation will commit up to $20,000 in 4th quarter, 2017. 
 
DEADLINE for applications is October 20, 2017. 
 
Guidelines are as follows:
 
  1. An Overland Park Rotarian must sponsor the organization.

  2. The organization must be local or within the KC metro area.

  3. A Gant application for a one time capital project is preferred.

  4. Grants applications for reoccurring operating expenses are not encouraged.

  5. Receipt of the grant would be significant to the organization and they must demonstrate how it would make a major difference to their cause.

  6. A priority will be given to youth oriented organizations.

  7. Preference to an organization submitting a plan showing how Overland Park Rotarians could be involved in their charitable cause.

  8. The organization must submit a plan to give “in person” updates on the use of grant funds at Rotary Club meetings.

  9. The organization must present a plan showing how the Overland Rotary Club Foundation would be acknowledged within the community for the Grant.

  10. The Foundation may consider a multiyear grant if project exceeds one year.
