Cash is King fundraising event 2018-04-24 06:00:00Z 0

On November 13 the Rotary Club of Barrhead held its first meeting in our new home, the Charles Godberson Rotary Room.  The move from the Board Room of the Servus Credit Union to the new facility was made possible by an agreement with the Town of Barrhead.  Our new meeting place is much bigger, and has much more public visibility than our former meeting space.  Our Club is excited to have such a place to call home.

At the meeting we had a number of special guests.  Mayor Dave McKenzie spoke about his vision for the community.  District Governor Frank Reitz spoke about the progress being made by Rotary across the globe, and about his expectations for our own Club.  Most importantly, we had many of our former Rotary Members join us for this special meeting.  It was great to have these old friends join us to reminisce and to share our plans for the future.
