Happy Fines:
Susan Brister – heading to Miami next week.
Rene Melchers is happy about the hockey season starting.
Allan Bennett is happy to be heading south next week and will be back at Christmas.
Ed Coon is happy to have helped out with the Food Bank yesterday.

President’s Announcement:
November 1-2 Rotary Club in Kemptville and Ottawa is having a Curling Event in Ottawa with folks from Scotland.
YMCA is holding a workshop by Don McCreesh re: Governance.
Jim Wilson, MPP, is fighting the Gov’t decision to legislate having charities. See Ray for details.
Food Bank – report from Allan Bennett: we are down 40%in food donations from last year (10,000 lbs less) and 50% in financial donations. What do we need to do to improve?
Santa Claus Parade- Ed Coon reported: meeting tomorrow at 5pm at BCC; need lots of volunteers for that date.
Rotary Gala – Pierre reported: some wine leftover from a Winery that is available for sale and Rick Walker is storing them.  $12.50 per bottle.  Talk to Pierre, Ray or Rick.
Youth Services – Doug Radford reported that there are 5 students being driven by Rick Walker. Hoping they will come and present at a meeting.
 
Introduction of Speaker: Ed Coon presented Anne Denny who did her Classification Speech today.
Who is She? What does she do? 3 kids, 1 husband, 4 grandkids. Started working at BrockTel on the Monday after graduating from school on the Friday. Works at United Counties.  Process Improvement is her passion, which are 5 steps to improve any situation.  This is what she does at work, and also what she does in her personal life.  Children’s Mental Health is also a passion of hers and volunteered her time to help improve this cause. Loves camping and kayaking.
Thanking Speaker: Susan Brister presented the book donation for a local school library.
