Please join us in gathering donations for the shower program at Christ Episcopal Church. For four years, Christ Church has operated a shower program in cooperation with the City of Alameda which operates year round and serves the shelter when open. That program is at capacity, so they are adding a third shower to meet demand. They source undergarments, toiletries and lunch for guests, but they often send them off in their already-dirty clothing. Many guests have said laundry services are difficult to find and are expensive.
