Superior Court Judge Delbert Gee
The American Dream; How the Child of Immigrants Became a Judge

Judge Delbert Gee has been an Alameda County Superior Court judge for almost 20 years.  He was born in Oakland and grew up in Hayward and Livermore before going to college at UC Davis and law school at Santa Clara.  He began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in Ventura County, and then spent 20 years practicing civil law in downtown San Francisco before he was appointed by the Governor to be a judge presiding over criminal, juvenile, civil, and probate cases.  He was the last judge to preside over criminal cases in the Alameda courthouse on Shoreline Drive.  Judge Gee has been an Alameda resident for the past 40 years and was on the board of Alameda Youth Basketball, the Alameda Free Library Foundation, and his local PTA.  He was a member of the Rotary Club of San Francisco at Fisherman's Wharf where he was a two-time Paul Harris Fellow.
