Community Service Committee

Community Service is, for some Rotarians, the most meaningful service we provide. I believe this is because we are able to put names and faces on those who benefit from our efforts. We can experience first-hand the joy, comfort, peace of mind, or relief that we bring to those who are less fortunate in our communities. Putting a smile on the face of a child or soliciting a response from a withdrawn shut-in or catching a glimpse of a tear in the eyes of a discouraged parent are the rewards of our outreach to the disadvantaged in our communities.

The opportunities for community service are varied and endless. Rotary reaches out to those who are infirm, elderly, homeless, handicapped. We do not need to look far to find youth, children, lonely seniors, or other disadvantaged segments of our communities whom we can serve.
