Just in time for cold weather, The Rotary Club of Salisbury and the Rotary Club of Wicomico County have started the purchase and distribution of new coats to more than 500 Wicomico County youngsters.  Using club money, money from Rotary District 7630, and donors through the national Operation Warm website, families living at or below the poverty level qualified for the free coats through Shore Up, Inc.’s Head Start program, the Salvation Army, and the Wicomico County Board of Education.
At the first giveaway in the Salvation Army gymnasium in Salisbury, Rotarians helped the youngsters and their parents select the right size and style coat.  Additional distributions will take place in the coming weeks.
This is another example of Rotary club members being People of Action.
