Dozens of members of The Rotary Club of Salisbury were involved with two community service projects today.

In the morning, members played golf and volunteered at the MAC Inc. Meals on Wheels inaugural golf tournament.  MAC is the area agency on aging.

In the afternoon, more than a dozen club members led the effort to install hundreds of American flags for the Flag for Heroes project.  Money raised through flag sponsorships will be provided to veterans organizations and other groups.  The flags are at the corner of U.S. Route 50 and Hobbs Road, across the street from the Arthur W. Perdue Stadium east of Salisbury.  The flags will remain on display through Independence Day.
