Members of the Rotary Club of Salisbury had the pleasure of hearing from the relatively new Wicomico County Library Director Seth Hershberger at tonight's meeting.  He focused not on plans for the library system, but rather on books related to the Eastern Shore of Maryland that he read as he became familiar with his new home.
Pete Reddish, a club member since 1973, gave his inspiring life story during his Get Acquainted...Get Reacquainted segment, the club's weekly program to allow veteran club members to introduce themselves for the first time to some club members or to reintroduce themselves to long time club members.
President Bill Satterfield began the process of enrolling club members to serve as volunteers at the October 16 Meals of Hope project to package at least 50,000 meals for poor families on the Lower Eastern Shore, a joint program of the six Lower Eastern Shore Rotary clubs.  Volunteers outside of Rotary are being sought to help with the packaging, weighing, labeling, sealing, and preparing the packages for distribution to the Maryland Food Bank.  To register as a volunteer for about three hours at a Salisbury site on the morning of October 16, contact President Satterfield at
