Teri McBride, City of Richardson Health Department
Essence of Water Quality Management

Teri McBride started her career with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality in the Remediation Services Division.  During her tenure, she served as a regulatory agent for the State of Louisiana as a Team Leader on multiple media remediation sites including Solid Waste, Hazardous Waste, and Underground Storage Tank facilities.  Terry was responsible for project management of environmental sites from investigation and risk assessment through corrective action.  She acted as a direct liaison between the State of Louisiana and the facility representatives, property owners, and environmental consultants.

Teri also served as team leader to EPA Contractors on emergency response and surveillance teams post hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav, and  Ike.  She conducted environmental hazard surveillance and remediation as well as environmental soil and water testing continuing through the remediation and restoration of areas impacted by the deadly storms.

After leaving the State of Louisiana, Teri worked as an Environmental Scientist contractor liaison to multi-disciplined industries responsible for compliance to the State Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) entities, EPA, and OSHA Health and Safety Agencies.  In this role, she aided industries with stormwater, air, wastewater, and any other environmental permitting requirements for each governing agency.

Now, Teri serves as an Environmental Health Specialist for Water Quality in the Health Department for the City of Richardson.  She is responsible for the City’s Pretreatment Program as well as the coordination of the City’s Stormwater Management Program.
