RERC is relaunching the Small Group effort
Shortly the formation of the new small groups will be announced. The purpose of the small groups is to encourage networking between the members to create a stronger club. The main focus for the groups will be on social events where the group members meet to have fun and get to know each other well.

The meetings should be documented with pictures and a blurb for our bulletin and website.

Stay tuned for more information and who will be in your group.
Successful NTGD for our Signature Project

North Texas Giving Day (NTGD) was a success for RERC, we received a total of $4,250 in donations that will go towards our Signature Project, an Inclusive playground at Cottonwood Park in Richardson.

Thanks to the help of our generous donors and supporters RERC has raised a total of $31,250 since our kick-off this summer. With the NTGD donations we took another big step at reaching our target of $250,000 to make the Cottonwood Park an Inclusive playground.

We would also like to thank SAGE, the RISD Council of PTA's organization for Special and Gifted Education for their support in promoting NTGD and the Inclusive Playground to their constituency.

The next opportunity to support our efforts will be a special meal and entertainment hosted by Wildflower Patio and Grill on Tuesday, Oct. 10. This popular restaurant at the II Creeks area (formerly Marcus Cafe) will have a happy hour, fixed price three-course meal and entertainment by Ellis Island with a portion of all proceeds going to the Inclusive Playground. This would make a great date night for a good cause. Watch for details soon.
