A program created by Rotary members in Seattle, Washington, USA, is fighting hunger and poverty in Arkansas thanks to connections formed through Rotary. Rotary First Harvest uses donated shipping to funnel donations of imperfect produce to Washington food banks. Recently, they took their hunger fight national with an initiative that places AmeriCorps volunteers with partner food banks to create new programs for recovering produce. The story was recently shared on the Feeding America blog.
Bruce Painter, MSW, is a sales psychology trainer. He trains business owners and sales people to increase business, and he also trains organizational members to more quickly increase membership.
Bruce has been speakng to Rotary Clubs since 1996. He spoke to our Richardson East Rotary April 4, 2001 in which club member Joe Allinder gave him a testimonial letter. Joe wrote, “You not only provided valuable information on recruiting new members, but also information on how each of us can be more successful in our lives.”
Bruce is author of The Giving Zone book, and creator of “The Giving Zone Game” in which he teaches children that giving and values are fun.
His client list ranges from a former Majority Leader, House of Representatives, State of Hawaii, to an aspiring golf pro who shot the best score he had in two years, to two of the top 10 ERA realtors in the nation.
Bruce lives with his wife Shoshana in Frisco Texas. They started working together in consulting and training prior to their marriage in 1987.
