Texas Baptist Men, Roy Stanford, Ph.D.

TBM is a group of Christ-followers who share Christ’s love through action and word after disasters and in times of need whose mission is to mobilize believers to engage the world.

Made up of men and women from around Texas, TBM functions as a volunteer organization that organizes response to disaster relief, rebuilding after natural disasters, proactively building for churches and mission-minded organizations, helping churches grow up young men to be active in missions, restoring lives impacted by the criminal justice system, and providing communities sustainable access to clean water.

Roy Stanford completed Bachelor and Master Degrees at Stephen F. Austin State University  and earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Texas A&M University. A lifelong interest in helping others led to a passion for volunteerism.  Roy began volunteering with Texas Baptist Men's Agriculture Missions Ministry in 2008, using his expertise in agricultural systems to minister to hungry people in India, Brazil and Venezuela, and Haiti. Roy was invited to join the TBM staff in 2014 and is the Director of Development responsible for sharing about the ministry and encouraging the aspirations and joy of faithful givers who make all the ministry possible.
