RERC held a well attended social event at Love and War in Texas. We are continuing to have one meeting per month as a social event strengthening our relationships in the club.
Help us launch Rotary's new 'People of Action' campaign
Rotary has created a new global ad campaign called "People of Action." The campaign is based on research that revealed that while many people have heard of Rotary, few actually understand what Rotary clubs do. By downloading the materials in the Brand Center, you can begin telling your club's story in a consistent, compelling way. Here's what you need to know.
We had a great kickoff to "Make It Happen" - building an Inclusive Playground in Richardson's Cottonwood Park. Because of two donations - one of them a surprise - we reached 10 percent of our fund-raising goal on the first day of the effort. The City of Richardson and Richardson East Rotary Club (RERC) are collaborating on this playground. The City has funds to replace the aging Cottonwood Park playground with a standard facility. The joint effort is taking it further, building an inclusive playground where children, adults and seniors of all abilities can play and have great access, side-by-side. The photos are from RERC's first annual picnic to promote the playground. We had about 150 people eating and enjoying the bounce house, face painter and balloon artist under the trees at beautiful Cottonwood Park. Keep watching this page and our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/RichardsonEast) to find ways you can help "Make It Happen."
Over forty thousand Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, alumni, and leaders from around the world gathered in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. At the general sessions and workshops, on social media, and in the House of Friendship, they shared ideas, learned from world class leaders, and made new friends.
