2018 International Project
The Richardson Rotary Club has joined with the Rotary Club of Bratislava, Slovakia to help with much-needed electrical system repairs at the RESOTY (Anton Srholco Resocializing Community) Hostel for the Homeless. The two clubs split the cost of €4,500 Euros, or about $5,000 USD. Radi-Al Rashed (holding check), our club’s International Committee Chair, was instrumental in setting up this partnership with the Bratislava Rotary Club.
Night Out at the Ballpark
These are some of the folks that  enjoyed the third annual Family Night at the Ballpark on November 2, sponsored by the City of Richardson and Richardson Rotary Club.  Families camped on the outfield grass and enjoyed games, crafts, dinner, a screening of “The Goonies,” breakfast and more. The event was held at the Keffler Baseball Fields at Breckinridge Park.
˜˜October 29, 2018
Here are just a few of the 36 members and guests that enjoyed dinner and a chance to admire a collection of privately-owned automobiles. Special thanks to Carl Bonds, who keeps his restored Chevrolet truck there and who provided us with the connection that allowed viewing this beautiful 1955 Chevrolet, plus other classic Packards, Cadillacs, Jaguars, Lincolns, a rare Hispano-Suiza and an even rarer 1948 Bugatti racer.
With prizes contributed by Jim Adams, there was a raffle that raised over $1,100 for Rotary International’s PolioPlus Program. With a Gates Foundation matching grant, the total will be over $3,300. Thanks to all who attended and participated in the fundraising effort.
