International Service Committee

We have supported a number of International Projects. Our current project is to do Corneal Transplants in India with our association with Rotary Midtown Hoshiarpur in India. The project received a Global Grant in 2019-2020. Sine Plano Metro Rotary Clubs involvement about 5 years ago, over 1,000 corneal transplant have been done free of cost to all patients. We would like to thank Tony Robbins Foundation for supporting over 500 corneal transplants.

 

Another project we got involved is a consortium of number of local clubs put together by Rotary Club of McKinney to do a Dialysis project in India. Rotary Club of McKinney got a Global Grant from Rotary International as well.

 

We participate in the District International project to support kids in Nicaragua.

 

We have sent life straw, a straw that has a filter, requires no battery. This straw can be used to drink any water. The straws were distributed in African continent to various schools for the benefit of children.  

 

We successfully completed a rain water harvesting project with association of a club in London, UK in Solan district of India to provide water to 400 residents in a remote village on the hill. Two storage tanks of 100,000 liters each were made to store the water.
