State Farm City Line Update and Impact on Our Communities
May 31, 2017
Rendi's competitive nature comes from her high school days where playing basketball was a passion. She still loves the game and loves to compete. Although she wasn't the most talented player, hard work, commitment, and a desire to be the best made up for where she lacked in pure athletic ability. Growing up the oldest of three children on a farm in Adair, Oklahoma, Rendi developed her strong work ethic at an early age.
After receiving her bachelor's degree from the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma, Rendi taught elementary school for a year and sold real estate for two years before beginning her State Farm career. Rendi attributes selling real estate as a key experience in preparing her for her scratch agency.
Rendi joined State Farm in 1984 as a scratch agent in Claremore, Oklahoma. She had her first daughter only four months after receiving her independent contract. Her second daughter was born two and half years later. Rendi became agency training coordinator in the Tulsa, Oklahoma office in 1990, agency manager in North Texas in 1992 and director – agency recruiting there in 1995. She was named agency education consultant at corporate headquarters in 1996 and returned to North Texas in 1997 as an agency field executive. Rendi became director – agency field office development at corporate headquarters in 1998, where she was named assistant vice president – agency in 1999 and executive assistant to the Chairman's Council in 2000. In 2002, Rendi was named vice president-agency for the Arkansas and Oklahoma market areas. She began her current role as vice president agency –sales for the Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex in 2012.
Rendi considers coaching and execution to be a key component in her work. She loves to figure out systems and processes in order to get results. Her leadership style lends itself to coaching and developing people and building effective teams.
Rendi has earned her Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations. She and her husband, Randy have two daughters, both of whom work for State Farm. Erin works as an Agency/Sales Resources Specialist, and Whitney is an agent in the Houston area. Rendi loves spending time with her daughters, playing golf, biking and hiking.

Sep. 30, 2017 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
We are turning the apartment over to Karen around 1pm on Saturday the 30th.
We need volunteers to help set up the apartment at 9:00 at Gateway Apartments at 1723 N. McDonald St, McKinney, TX 75069 : Apartment 107
If 9:00 doesn't work, come at 10 or 11, whenever you can!
There is no heavy lifting to do; just cleaning, setting up, decorating, etc.
We could still use two outdoor chairs for the covered porch, decorations, and a few final items listed here.
Please let Steve Parry know ASAP if you will be able to attend on Saturday. It's important that we have several members and it's a very rewarding experience!
