Friends of the Southlake Rotary Club were also recognized and honored: Southlake Foundation President Kush Rao was honored as Citizen of the Year for his unparalleled efforts in making the city a better place for everyone. Bill Tait III was recognized as this year’s Ambassador of the Year. Kathy Talley received the President’s Award and former Southlake Rotarian Karl Chester was named Director of the Year. Meanwhile, GRACE (Shonda Schaefer) won Civic Group of the Year! Bravo! Well-deserved recognition for these citizens who put service above self!
The Southlake Chamber of Commerce recognized 11 individuals and businesses during its annual awards banquet on June 17. With this year's theme being "Southstone," the Southlake Chamber's awards banquet was held to recognize residents and their outstanding contributions to the community.
