Rotary Club of Southlake

The Southlake Rotary Club hosted 3 Rotarians, Toshimitsu Takahashi, Nobuhiro Onodera and Aikihiro Oikawa, from the Sanuma Rotary Club of Tome, Japan May 12-15.  Tome, Japan is also the City of Southlake's Sister City.  Southlake Rotarians hosted a welcome reception at The Marq in Southlake in their honor.

City Officials and representatives along with members of the Sister Cities Board and Southlake Rotarians were in attendance at the reception.  During their visit, they attended the Rotary District Conference luncheon held in Arlington which was followed by their first American Baseball game on Friday night.  Although the Rangers did not win, it was a beautiful evening and a fabulous fireworks show! Saturday was a day filled with local sightseeing which included a tour of the AT&T stadium, a visit to Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth then to the Stockyards to watch the afternoon Cattle Drive.  The evening would not have been complete without a Mexican food dinner before they had to leave early Sunday morning.  It was a quick trip, but we managed to fit many activities into a short period of time.
