As you will note from the attachments, the Sponsor Form shows that the deadline has passed for sponsorship recognition.  However, that applies ONLY to the Chief level sponsors who are featured on T-shirts, and actually that’s been extended to today, Sept. 10th as T-shirts will go into print. The next deadline is ONLY for Chief sponsors as Friday, Sept. 13 is the deadline for Chief Sponsors to be included on the Public Service Announcement (PSA) that Harkins Theatres will be providing. The PSA will be a short (about 5-10 seconds, I believe) still shot that will display repeatedly as part of a rolling loop prior to the previews of every movie at every screen from October 11 – Nov. 7. The PSA will recognize the DPS Officers of the Year (with their photos), and include the name of the event at which they were awarded, the organizers (Rotary Club of SL and City of SL) and the Chief Sponsors’ names only (no logos). The final deadline on ALL is Monday, Sept. 23 for all sponsors to be included on the big Sponsor Recognition Board at the event.  However, we will continue taking donated gift cards from any business/person who so generously donates something for both the Officer and Firefighter of the Year right up until the event on Sept 28th.

For the entire community, PLEASE plan to attend and pay your respects to our community’s first responders --- those brave men and women who keep us all safe by providing assistance at scenes of emergencies, including in our streets, highways, homes, places of business, etc.  --- They are always READY to help each and every one of us at in the midst of the perilous hazards in our lives, including accidents, natural disasters and criminal acts.

So, calendar this event, sponsor this event and do whatever else you are able to do --- but no matter what, please JOIN US in honoring our public servants in the Department of Public Safety on September 28th!!! #wearerotary#rotaryconnectstheworld #peopleofaction
