Serving the Needs of the Often Forgotten

The Church of the Damascus Road Prison Ministry is a member of the Prison Congregations of America. It was the first of its kind in the state of Texas.

Our speaker is Pastor Dan Lund. He felt called to this ministry because he has personally experienced and witnessed the ravages of substance abuse. As a recovering alcoholic with over 45 years of sobriety, Dan and his wife Jan also were the parents of a son, now deceased, who was incarcerated many years for drug offenses. They recently opened “Jay's Place” (named after their son) which offers a safe, sober transitional living environment with programs that renew lives through spiritual and emotional support, as well as teaching new skills and attitudes.

Join us this Friday to find out more about how this unique and effective ministry serves an often overlooked segment of our population.
