Swim For Elise, A Positive Wave of Change

Tomorrow’s program comes very highly recommended by the Trophy Club and Metroport Rotary clubs, and should be of special interest to every member with a backyard pool or access to a neighborhood pool, and children at home or grandchildren who visit.

You may be surprised to learn that the CDC reported in 2017 that, “nearly 1,000 children died from drowning and 8,700 visited a hospital emergency room because of a drowning event—with toddlers and teens at the highest risk.” Clearly, the message of water safety applies to all families, but it is even more crucial for Texas families who lose 80-100 children annually to fatal drowning.

Fatal drownings happen to real North Texas families, but these drownings are entirely preventable. Learn how you can keep your loved ones safer around water. Visit with the founder of the Swim4Elise Foundation, Lori Cerami, who will share her daughter’s passion for swimming and the impact the foundation is making to raise awareness of water safety in our community.  Here is the link to Lori’s website: https://www.swim4elise.com the Swim for Elise Facebook page:
