Today's Speaker:
Pedro Concepcion, CEO of NOTO Arts & Entertainment District, was our speaker today. He shared about the history of NOTO and how it has again become a thriving part of the Topeka community. Don't forget this weekend is First Friday weekend - a great time to shop and dine local in the NOTO district!
Announcements:
Next Friday's meeting is offsite at the Shawnee County Corrections Behavioral Health Unit. Please plan to arrive between 7:15 and 7:25. The tour will begin promptly at 7:30. Park in the main front lot at 501 SE 8th Avenue (also known as the 8th & Jefferson entrance). Major Phelps will be waiting for us at the front entrance. If the main lot fills up, there should be other parking nearby. Plan to wear comfortable shoes since parts of the tour encompass a construction site. *No refreshments will be provided given the location. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Lunch Bunch will resume for the 2026-2027 school year on September 2nd. Look for a communication from Project lead, Lori Rowe, with sign-up and full calendar details.
We noted the CAAHT club feature in the August edition of Rotary magazine! Congratulations to our club member, Patti Mellard, for the international recognition of all the meaningful work you've spearheaded.
First quarter invoices (July-September dues) are targeted to be sent in the next few days/week. A reminder that you'll be able to view your invoices and balance in ClubRunner moving forward. You may pay by check or Zeffy (same as before) or Paypal (with a fee).
