Welcome, TSR Member Cassandra Taylor—Meet in Washburn B
Cassandra joined Architect One in 2007 and became a principal in 2015. A graduate of Kansas State University, she has 17 years of experience with architecture and development firms in Alaska, Florida, and Kansas.
 
She's a member of Topeka's Top 20 Under 40 and Leadership Greater Topeka. She's also an active volunteer and athlete. Her vocational talk is sure to be powerful!

Sherwood Lake Club Beach

Families and kids are invited and anyone is welcome to swim. We will provide hot dogs, chips, and basic beverages…water and soda. You are welcome to BYOB; however, bottles are not allowed.
 
There is not a mailbox or address plaque at the beach and boat ramp; however, it is located on SW Sherwood Court Topeka, KS 66614 which is a quick find on google. You can’t miss it if you drive down that road. You can park along the street and walk to the gates of the beach.
 
We need RSVPs to be sure to accommodate everyone. Please RSVP to Erika Skinner as soon as possible.

RYLA Week is Almost Here
Thanks to all the clubs around District 5710 who sponsored at least one student this year. We've received a record 88 applications and are now at full capacity for 2017. These students were sponsored by 27 of our clubs in District 5710. We are very pleased that all of you have been so supportive of this program.
 
The University of Kansas in Lawrence will once again host District 5710's Rotary Youth Leadership Academy from June 4-8. Students representing several areas of the State of Kansas and the world will be engaging in a wide range of leadership development, team-building, civic engagement, and community service activities.
 
We invite any Rotarians who wish to meet the students to attend the graduation ceremony on Thursday June 8 in the Memorial Union Ballroom at 11:00am. This will give you a glimpse of the impact RYLA can have.  —Faron Barr
 

TSR 25th Annual Golf Tournament June 23
It's gonna be a blast!
 
This year is the 25th Annual Topeka South Rotary Golf Tournament. Proceeds will benefit the YWCA and Easter Seals Capper Foundation.
 
Golf committee chair Gary Lucas has lots of Caddyshack fun up his sleeve! He challenges each Rotarian to get together a team with 3 non-Rotarians. A great way to raise more money and invite some prospective members. Just $85/per person includes green fees, cart, driving range, box lunch and refreshments.
 
Gary is looking for raffle prizes, and hole sponsorships are available at just $110.
