8/17: RON BROWN, USD 501 (UNION, WASHBURN B)
 
Ron Brown, Topeka Public Schools 501, will discuss safety and security improvements in Topeka Public Schools, along with training we provide to assist with a potential emergency. Ron will talk a little about recent school events and some of the issues surrounding school safety and how to protect our children and staff.
 
TSR STARTS BOOK CLUB, OCT. 1
The ladies of Topeka South Rotary are invited to join a casual book club where we can discuss books and enjoy each other's company. If you are looking to get to know other women in the club and build friendships, this is the place for you! We plan to meet every 6 weeks on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. rotating at members' homes or other public locations. Our first three books will be City of Thieves by David Benioff, Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman, and Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. Once we establish a routine, every member will be able to select a book for the club to read!
 
The first selection is "City of Thieves" by David Benioff. We will discuss the book on October 1st at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Alicia VanWalleghem. Please RSVP to Adrienne Olejnik by text or email at 785-640-8787 or adrienneolejnik@gmail.com.
