A note from your TSR President and Board of Directors, All Topeka South Rotary activities including meetings, socials and volunteer activities through April 7 have been cancelled. The board will meet again on April 7, perhaps sooner, to review the situation to determine if our regular activities can begin again. Cancellations include the following: - Volunteer projects: SoleMates (March 19), Harvesters (March 27), Let’s Help Saturday (March 28), and Lunch Bunch (April 2). The Trail Clean-up (April 4) activity will be moved to June. Let’s Help Monday (April 13) will be determined.
- Meetings: No club meetings March 20 and 27 and April 3.
- Social: There won’t be a club social in March.
This was a difficult decision for the board. We tried to find ways to continue to support the community because that is what we do. Topeka South Rotary helps. But, just as important to the board, is you. Your health, your family’s health, the circles of people surrounding you, and reducing potential exposures. Searching for a balance between the two, the board took the following steps: - For the next three weeks, we will wait out COVID-19 to see what happens. Our hope is that we can resume our meetings and volunteer activities soon, but only time will tell.
- We are going to be looking for creative ways to stay connected with each other and to help those in need from the safety of our homes. Those opportunities will be shared in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, you will continue to receive updates via the weekly enewsletter and check-ins from board members.
