10/12: MAYOR MICHELLE DE LA ISLA (BRADBURY THOMPSON ALUMNI CENTER)
 
Mayor Michelle De La Isla, City of Topeka, will be joining us this Friday at the Bradbury Thompson Alumni Center as she discusses current events in the city of Topeka. Be ready to bring your ideas and questions to the floor as Mayor De La Isla will be looking for input from you as well to ensure that Topeka continues to move forward in its prosperity.
 
WORLD POLIO DAY OCT. 24
 
Join Rotary District 5710 for World Polio Day at the Kansas State Capitol on October 24. The program will include a proclamation, stories from survivors, an update on where we are in the fight to end polio, followed by a ceremonial "walk to end polio" in front of the Capitol. The agenda will be provided as we get closer to the event.
 
6th ANNUAL PUMPKIN RUN
 
Who needs another medal? Join us for the 6th annual Pumpkin Run on Saturday, October 27, at Lake Shawnee. Registration starts at 7:30 am with the run/stroll beginning at 8:30 am. Our presenting sponsor is Team Barrington Realty Professionals. You can download the registration form from the front page of the TSR website, or registration online at http://register.chronotrack.com/r/41405.
 
This year we will be allowing Rotarians who cannot attend the run, to still support the event by purchasing a t-shirt ahead of time. The shirts are $20 and you can register for yours by either filling out the order form at Friday's meeting, or emailing Neil Dobler.
