Welcome, Jared Maag: Assistant United States Attorney—Meet in Washburn B
Jared is an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Kansas and is admitted to practice before the Kansas Supreme Court; U.S. District Court in Kansas; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit in Denver; and the U.S. Supreme Court. He joined the U.S. Attorney’s office in 2004 as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney while working as a prosecutor for the Kansas Attorney General’s Office. He joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office full time in 2009. (He is also the brother of TSR Member Laura Lutz!)

Final Lunch Bunch of the Year
Thanks to all who volunteered for the last Lunch Bunch at Avondale West Elementary. Here's a shot of some very happy students and Rotarians. The pizza was decimated, and there are smiles all around. —Doug

TSR 25th Annual Golf Tournament June 23
It's gonna be a blast!
 
This year is the 25th Annual Topeka South Rotary Golf Tournament. Proceeds will benefit the YWCA and Easter Seals Capper Foundation.
 
Golf committee chair Gary Lucas has lots of Caddyshack fun up his sleeve! He challenges each Rotarian to get together a team with 3 non-Rotarians. A great way to raise more money and invite some prospective members. Just $85/per person includes green fees, cart, driving range, box lunch and refreshments.
 
Gary is looking for raffle prizes, and hole sponsorships are available at just $110.

TSR Wins Distinctions at District 5710 Conference
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
There are great reasons to celebrate TSR's recognitions at last weekend's district conference. We received the Presidential Citation for last Rotary year—a significant accomplishment.
 
Additionally we received a new award…the “Governors Bell." This award is intended to be assigned yearly at the District Conference solely on the District Governor's discretion to 1 of our 44 district clubs for recognition of outstanding service and fellowship. Basically, their favorite club. The bell is then transferred to the next club at the next conference.
 
Cheers to the board, volunteers and all the members who make our club outstanding. It's great to see others notice us, too.
