Veteran's Day is Saturday and to honor those who have and are currently serving in the military club members will hear from Col. Roger Murdock, chief of staff for the Kansas National Guard. Col. Murdock will focus on the Guard's current structure and missions as well as the challenges and opportunities that come with serving the community, state and nation.
He will also share a bit about the history of the Kansas National Guard.
This Friday's meeting will be in the Kansas Room of the Washburn Union.
Join your fellow Topeka South Rotarians for some Friday night fun during our November Social beginning this Friday, the 10th, at 5:00 pm at the Blind Tiger Brewery & Restaurant.
This group of Topeka South Rotarians helped celebrate Dale (& Maggie) Warren as he (they) received the Liz Stratton Award from ARTSConnect at Saturday evening’s Arty Party. Great support for some wonderful people!
We're are changing things up a little at Topeka South Rotary and giving people an opportunity to sign up for the morning invocation each week, providing the ability to plan ahead and select a more personal invocation. We would love to have invocations from all faiths and walks of life. There's nothing that says it has to be a prayer, maybe it's a morning meditation, or thought for the day. And don't worry, if you don't want to come up with your own we have found some great additional ones from Rotary organizations all over the world.
If you would like to sign up online just click here or email Cassandra. In case you want to direct your invocation at the subject matter of the day, we've included in the online document a list of our weekly speakers. Red Badges, keep in mind this is a great way to check off one of your Blue Badge Requirements! There are 34 weeks left open for the board year. With over 100 members I have faith this will fill up quickly.
