Today's Meeting:
Thank you to President Elect Mike Wilson for leading today's meeting in my absence! I had work travel this past week and next week as well. This email is delayed because of travel issues last night that resulted in opting to drive from Louisville, KY, in the early hours of the morning rather than taking the delayed flight today! Nothing is simple about travel these days.
Our speaker yesterday was Bob Stuart, whospoke about the Kansas Bureau of Investigation - its history and its focus today.
Announcements:
District news: Our district grant has been approved! We'll be focusing our efforts to strengthen our impact at Highland Park Central Elementary School this year. Opportunities and details will be coming soon for service projects. Also, District 5710 of which Topeka South Rotary is one of several dozen clubs was recognized as the 2025-2026 District of the Year in Zone 29! For context, Zone 29 includes 16 Rotary districts stretching from northwest Ontario to the Oklahoma Panhandle.
