PEACE BUILDERS BUILDING FRESH START KITS
Many thanks to those who have already donated items for the first 50 Fresh Start Kits. The list of items needed to complete the first kits has been updated and is noted below.

If you would like to donate items, you can bring them to the meeting on Friday, November 9; otherwise, you are welcome to drop off donated items at the Key Staffing at 5840 SW Huntoon. Need to have items together by Friday, November 9th.

Kit building will take place on Thursday, November 15 between 11am - 6 pm. Time can count towards a make-up meeting and you can come for 15 minutes or 30 minutes.

Greatest need to completed these first 50 kits is clothing and gift cards.

  • Please note these kits are for Women so women’s size items are best.
  • Gift cards can be in the range of $10 to 25 per card. Prefer they be too fast food restaurants that are open 7 days a week with longer hours – McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Hardees, Subway.
  • Items can be purchased at Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Family Dollar, etc. to help make funds stretch further. Does not have to be name brand items.
  • Toiletry items should not be travel size.
Lastly, for individuals providing $100 worth of items, Patty will donate 100 points towards your Paul Harris fellow. To ensure that you get this credit, please include a receipt or note with your name and value with your donated items.

Donate money for the purchase of items - If you prefer to donate money, members of the Peace Builder committee will shop for items not donated to complete the kits. Money can be given to Patti Mellard, Alice Weingartner or Austin Wingerson. If you write a check, please make it out to Topeka South Rotary and note on the memo line “Fresh Start Kit”.
