Kelly Rippel - Hemp Industry in Kansas

Please join us this Friday to hear from Kelly Rippel about the Hemp Industry in Kansas!

Kelly Rippel is a fifth generation Kansan who has advocated for open access of information and utilization of hemp since the 1990s when he found out his dad participated in cannabis research at America's first land grant school, Kansas State University. After fully uncovering these groundbreaking publications, Kelly has presented on them across the state, regionally, internationally and promoted its existence on multiple formats.

Kelly has conducted observational research on naturally-occurring hemp for over twenty years and after earning a B.A. in Public Relations/minor in Sociology from Emporia State University, he co-founded Kansans for Hemp, assisting in the legalization of industrial hemp. He was appointed to the Industrial Hemp Research Advisory Board under the Kansas Department of Agriculture and still serves in that role. As a crop adjuster, Kelly supports farmers with Zurich North America/Rural Community Insurance Services and in his free time advocates by providing testimony and data on various policy issues in the statehouse.

This week's meeting will be held at Bishop Professional Development (PD) Center, 3601 SW 31st Street, Topeka, KS, 66614, in the Sumner Room. Click here for directions.

Announcements will begin promptly at 7:45 am, with breakfast and coffee being served at 7:30 am!

Snail mail no more? How to keep email marketing relevant

Based on the feedback from last year's Fireside Chats, it appears that the majority of members would prefer to receive their membership dues invoice via email instead of snail mail. Please send a message to Candy Williams to let her know which option works best for you!
