eNews for October 4: Kyle Wiley Pickett, Topeka Symphony Orchestra (Kansas Room)
Did you know Topeka has a professional symphony? Did you know the Topeka Symphony supports three different youth orchestras, cultivating musical talent and supporting local elementary, middle school and high school string musicians?

Come hear about this community gem, and find out how you can enjoy the sounds of the TSO's 2019/2020 season entitled American Playlist.

Pumpkin Run: October 26, 2019

The 7th Annual Topeka South Rotary Pumpkin Run is quickly approaching. This is a fun, family friendly event with lot's of fun for all. This 5K run is for serious and casual runners. There is also a 5K walk for those less inclined to run. Everyone's encouraged to dress in your favorite Halloween attire. There will be a costume contest with a prize for one lucky adult and one lucky child. The run takes place at Lake Shawnee, Shelter House #1 at 8:30am on October 26, 2019.  If you would like to participate you can register HERE. Not interested in walking or running but don't want to miss out on any of the fun we still need volunteers! Contact Glenn Jagodzinske to volunteer.

Funds raised will be donated to Polio Plus. If you would like to contribute directly to Polio Plus, you can go online at Rotary.org or you could hand a check to Jim Rinner, Austin Wingerson, or Anne Wardner specifying that the funds are to go to Polio Plus. If you contribute online, please send a note to Anne Wardner so we can account for what we have raised.

Let's stock the pantry!

We have been partnering with Let's Help since approximately 2000. They are in need of basics in their food pantry. We will be collecting the below list of items through the end of October. You are welcome to bring them to the weekly meeting or deliver them during the week to Leaping Llamas. We will deliver each week, so the pantry gets the items as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, please email Alicia VanWalleghem or Patrick O'Kane.
