If someone nearby collapsed, would you know what to do? Each year, more than 300,000 people die of sudden cardiac arrest in the United States. At the end of Friday's meeting you'll know how to perform Hands-Only CPR, a stop-gap life-saving first-aid technique, that removes the respiratory element and instructs bystanders on how to offer chest compressions at a rate of 100 to 120 beats per minute. Juanita Sieben, a nurse and American Red Cross certified trainer, will teach the technique. Join your fellow Rotarians in the Kansas Room of the Washburn Union for Friday's meeting.
