Flooding and tornadoes and terrorism, oh my!

There are many different threats that we are faced with in NE Kansas. Some we see many times during the year, others we may not ever experience. Emergency Managers must identify and prepare for all of them. They strive to make any emergency a planned event. By following a proven “all hazards planning” process and involving the whole community, Emergency Managers strive to build and maintain a resilient community and that involves you.

This presentation will provide a brief view of the process where knee-jerk reactions are dirty words. Director Dusty Nichols will host conversation and explain how the process works and why you are an important part of your community resilience; and how you can use this process in your personal and family life. Join us Friday in the Kansas Room in the Memorial Union at Washburn University.
