This Friday . . .

Our speaker this Friday is Dr. Chris Kuehl, the managing director of Armada Corporate Intelligence.

Founded by Keith Prather and Chris Kuehl in 2000, Armada began as a competitive intelligence firm, grounded in the discipline of gathering, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence.  Today, Armada executives function as trusted strategic advisors to business executives, merging our fundamental roots in  corporate intelligence gathering, economic forecasting and strategy development.

Chris has been Armada's economic analyst and has worked with a wide variety of private clients and professional associations in the last 18 years. He is the Chief Economist for the National Association for Credit Management. He prepares NACM's monthly Credit Managers Index. He is also the Economic Analyst for the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association and writes their bi-weekly publication, Fabrinomics, which details the impact of economic trends on manufacturers.

Chris is the chief editor for the Business Intelligence Brief, distributed all over the world by business organizations and one of the primary writers for the Black Owl Report. He also makes approximately 100 presentations each year to business and industry associations in the US and overseas.

Chris has a doctorate in Political Economics and advanced degrees in Soviet Studies and Asian Studies and was a professor of international economics and finance for over 15 years prior to starting Armada.

Need a Make-Up?

When a member misses a meeting, there are several ways to make up for the absence:
  • Attend a Club function -- board meeting, committee meeting, project, Youth Exchange
  • Attend a District or International function -- Rotary Youth Exchange, PETs, District Conference
  • Online make-up - Rotary eclub One - go to www.rotaryeclubone.org
  • Attend another Rotary Club meeting
    • While out-of-town for vacation or business
    • In-town around the KC area
    • Download the app "Rotary Club Locator" and find a Rotary club anywhere in the world.
Rotary International bylaws state that a member can make up for a missed meeting within two (2) weeks before or after the meeting.  if you anticipate missing a meeting, you can make up for it up to 2 weeks before that date.  If you miss a meeting, you have up to 2 weeks after the missed meeting to make up.  If a member attempts to make up at another club and that club either did not meet that week, or changed venues, the club member can let their club's secretary know the date and time of the attempted make-up and it will count as a makeup toward a missed meetings.  Send all make-ups to our club secretary, Jerry Henson via email.
