About Our Club

The Lenexa Rotary Club was chartered on February 6, 1967.  Our club has a long history of being active in local and District activities.  Some of the activities include:

  • Shrimp Fest - This is Lenexa Rotary's annual major fundraiser.  It is held the 1st Saturday in March.  Ticket price includes all you can eat shrimp and chicken wings.  After dinner is the ever-popular Bingo and great prizes.  Additionally, there is a silent auction.  The proceeds from this fundraiser go to the Lenexa Rotary Foundation which supports many charities.
  • Lenexa Fire Department Fire Safety Vehicle - Lenexa Rotary donated 10% of the cost of a fire protection/education vehicle to be used by the Lenexa Fire Department.  Club members have been trained to help the fire department educate school children on fire and weather safety with this vehicle.  It is a great teaching tool in which the fire department takes to local schools and festivals.

  • Johnson County Christmas Bureau - Lenexa Rotary donates yearly to this charity to help purchase educational toys, clothes or food for the Holiday Shop.  Additionally, our members assist at the Holiday Shop, such as assisting clients through the shop, stocking shelves or setting up.
