Hi everyone,  Welcome to our new vibrant club.
We will celebrate our first meeting on Thursday July 17th at 5pm at the Creekside restaurant, Silver Creek.
We will have the official induction of the new club officers and then have a social time to get to know everyone.
We will serve pizza and cookies and drinks will be on your own account
I hope that we will see everyone on Thursday. I expect us to finish by 7-7.30pm in case people have other commitments.
Please let me know if you will be attending
Looking forward to an exciting year

RI Focus in July

July is Mother and Child Health Month

Rotary makes high-quality health care available to vulnerable mothers and children so they can live longer and grow stronger.

We expand access to quality care, so mothers and children everywhere can have the same opportunities for a healthy future.

An estimated 5.9 million children under the age of five die each year because of malnutrition, inadequate health care, and poor sanitation — all of which can be prevented.

HOW ROTARY MAKES HELP HAPPEN

Rotary provides education, immunizations, birth kits, and mobile health clinics. Women are taught how to prevent mother-to-infant HIV transmission, how to breast-feed, and how to protect themselves and their children from disease.

The Rotary Foundation

The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world.

Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects.

With your help, we can make lives better in your community and around the world.

Our mission

The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.

What impact can one donation have?

  • For as little as 60 cents, a child can be protected from polio.
  • $50 can provide clean water to help fight waterborne illness.
  • $500 can launch an antibullying campaign and create a safe environment for children.
