Raymond Pun, Market Development Manager of Rise Against Hunger presented a compelling description of the work accomplished by Rise Against Hunger worldwide at today's meeting.
His presentation included this video to give us the full picture from packaging to delivering food packages.
Packages are usually distributed to schools where food is an enticement to stay in school; making change possible.
Club President Robbie Izat remarked that he had participated in a packaging event in their Union City, CA location that was open to the public. He was impressed by the level of organization and energized to be among a group of like-minded people; all making change possible.
Our club can sign up to participate in a public event or for $4100 we can organize one that's local to a facility we choose. Either way we are encouraged to involve student volunteers, especially members of the Interact clubs we sponsor; all of us making change possible.
