Introduction of Visitors:  Heather’s son joined us. 
 
Vocation Spotlight: Jim Cochran – from Iowa State to California making aircraft.  Locally, he went to work at Teledyne where he held various positions including facilities manager which sometimes led to creative problem solving.  He was elected to the MV City Council and became mayor.
 
SPEAKER INTRO: Twana Karney introduced our speakers today: Cindy Murphy and Ken King from El Camino Hospital.  Cindy helped us understand the difference between the El Camino Hospital and the District.  Ken walked us through the construction changes that will be happening in the next few years at and around the El Camino Hospital.
 
General Club Announcements:
 
  • Thanks to Jim Cunningham for providing dessert today.
  • Dave Cole & Jim Cunningham – Updates on Community Service Projects.  CSMA – we are committed through June and will need volunteers starting on March 25. 
 
Other Club Announcements:
 
  • Board Meeting is on Thursday March 15, 5 pm at CHAC
 
District Announcements:
 
  • District Assembly schedule for April 13th at the India Community Center in Milpitas
  • District Conference scheduled for May 6-7 in Santa Cruz.
 
President’s Club: Scott – led the meeting today.  We will not be doing fines again this year and I would like to encourage our membership to join the Presidents Club…we have had great participation so far, 26 members, please join them!
 
Auction:
We will be auctioning a Tea Set that Roger Koa is donating next meeting.
We are looking for more donations, as you all know we are doing these auctions to raise funds for our Endowment Fund, so please see me if you have anything to donate.
 
 
Next Week’s Speaker:
Next week, February 28st we will have a Marti Gras themed social at Paul and Susan’s
