Sanjay introduced Irene Yang, Julie Gaudin and Los Altos resident, Dave Cain of the North Silicon Valley Chapter Citizen’s Climate Lobby (CCL), a non-profit, nonpartisan grassroots advocacy organization working to build on shared values toward fair and acceptable climate change solutions.  The speakers shared how they are working to put a price on the cost of carbon emissions and asked club members for their thoughts toward workable solutions to prevent the worst impacts of a warming climate. Overall, the CCL is working with local representatives toward the passage of the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act to reduce emissions, create jobs and support small businesses and families without growing government. Their participatory and interesting presentation was very well received. More information is available at https://citizensclimatelobby.org/price-on-carbon
