Rotary Club of Mountain View - International Grants

Thanks to the support of Rotary Club members , the Rotary Club of Mountain View Club is:

1) The lead international club providing "gift of life" cardiac surgery to 30 children in rural China. Bert Raphael is the lead person for this effort, working closely with the Rotary Club of Cupertino and Rotary Club of Beijing. The project is close to completion.

2) Co-sponsors of Matching Grant (MG) # 66436 with the Rotary Club of Palo Alto (Geoff Ziman) for providing safe drinking water to drought prone areas in the Raigarh District of Maharashtra state, India, with the Rotary Club of Bombay Metropolitan.

3) Contributing our District Designated Fund (DDF) this year to co-sponsor a new World Community Service (WCS) project being developed by the Rotary Club of Palo Alto (Walt Hays) to establish a Farmers' Market in the community of Ixil near Merida, Yucatan.

4) Continuing to help the Rotary Club of San Ignacio, Belize, provide scholarships so that young women in remote villages can complete high school.
